Wednesday Night

Wednesday night at VHUMC is a time to come together to share in a meal, fellowship, and grow in your spiritual journey through ministry opportunities.

Fellowship Supper - Delicious meals are served in the Fellowship Hall each week from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The cost is $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children, with a $20.00 family maximum. Childcare - During the Academy Year, childcare is available on Wednesday evenings starting at 5:15 pm. Babies and toddlers will be in the Matthias Room and older children in the Andrew Room.

Preschool Ministries - The “Little Lambs” Bible Class for 3, 4, and 5 year old children meets on the Preschool Floor 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Pre-registration is required; email Anne Strozier or call her at (205) 769-0127.

Youth Ministries -

SubMerge (6:00 to 7:30 pm - This program is for High School and takes place in the form of a worship service. We start in the Assembly room on the youth floor.

Uproar (6:00 - 7:30 pm) - This program is designed as a Middle School discussion night. Each session begins with games and then discussion on the youth floor.

Music Ministries - Adult Handbells practice is every Wednesday 6:00 - 7:00 pm, followed by the Chancel Choir Rehearsal 7:00 - 8:30 pm. For more information about Music Ministries, email Quint Harris or call him 205-769-0114.

Adult Ministries - Short-term and long-term Academy Bible studies, faith studies, book studies, and outside speakers offer a variety of ministry opportunities for adults. All of these classes are open to any adult, and you may participate as your schedule allows. Registration booklets with topics and descriptions for classes are available in the racks throughout the church and online. Pre-registration is requested but not required. Leaders are noted for each class, feel free to contact them for more information.
